Is the redaction permanent?
In the downloaded copy, content under the boxes is removed because each affected page is rasterized. Keep the original; pages without boxes are copied normally.
Does PDFGem upload my file to a server?
No. All processing happens entirely in your browser. Your PDF never leaves your device.
Can I redact multiple pages?
Yes. Navigate between pages and draw redaction boxes on any page. All redactions are applied at once when you click Apply.
Can I undo a redaction after downloading?
No. Once applied, the redaction is permanent and irreversible. Keep a copy of the original file if needed.
What types of content can I redact?
You can cover visible text or images. Each affected page becomes a raster image, so selectable text, links, annotations, and form fields on that page are lost.
