FAQ
What image formats are extracted?
Compatible pixel data is decoded and encoded into a new PNG. The output is not the original embedded stream or file and does not retain its original compression, filename, metadata, or color profile.
Does the PNG keep the stored pixel dimensions?
The new PNG uses the decoded image object's stored width and height. This is not a DPI guarantee, effective page size, original-file guarantee, or promise that masks and color handling are identical.
Can I extract images from a specific page?
The tool scans every page, but it only returns compatible raster objects it can decode. Results show the page where each object was encountered; there is no page-selection control before scanning.
What if the PDF has no images?
Zero results means no compatible images were extracted. Vectors, masks, layered compositions, backgrounds, unsupported objects, decoding failures, and images smaller than 10×10 pixels may not appear.
Is there a limit on file size?
The input limit is 100 MB. Decoding images, keeping previews, and creating a ZIP use browser memory, so a large or image-heavy PDF may fail on a constrained device.
