Does PDFGem upload my PDF to a server?
PDF pages are rendered locally in your browser. PDFGem does not intentionally send document content to its servers; normal site analytics and technical error telemetry may still operate.
What is the maximum file size?
The reader has no separate configured file-size cap, but browser memory, PDF complexity, page count, and device performance limit what it can open and how long rendering takes.
Can I print the PDF from the reader?
The reader has no dedicated print control. For reliable printing, open the original file in a PDF viewer with print support; printing the webpage may include the site interface.
Does it support password-protected PDFs?
Supported password-protected PDFs prompt for the correct password in the reader. Custom or unsupported encryption may fail; PDFGem does not bypass passwords.
Can I search for text in the PDF?
The reader displays pages as rendered images. For text search, use our PDF to Text tool to extract the content first.
