FAQ
Is it safe to merge PDFs online with PDFGem?
The tool processes PDF contents in your browser instead of uploading them to a conversion server. This reduces server exposure, but you still need a trusted device and browser.
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
Each input file can be up to 100 MB. There is no guaranteed file-count limit: combined memory use depends on the files, browser and device.
Will merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?
PDFGem uses copyPages to copy page objects without deliberately rasterizing them, then writes a new PDF. Bookmarks, internal links, metadata, forms and other document-level structures are not guaranteed, and saving can invalidate certified signatures.
Can I reorder files before merging?
Yes. After uploading, use the move up and move down buttons to arrange files in any order before merging.
Does PDFGem work on mobile devices?
It can run in a compatible mobile browser, but large or complex PDFs may exceed the device’s available memory.
