Can I edit existing text in the PDF?
No. This tool adds new overlays; it does not change existing PDF text or objects. PDF to Word only rebuilds text heuristically, and Word to PDF creates rasterized pages, so use the source application when fidelity matters.
What fonts are available?
WinAnsi-compatible text uses Helvetica regular or bold and remains text. Other Unicode is rendered as a PNG overlay with browser fonts, so it is not selectable or searchable; check rare glyphs visually. Sizes are 10–48 px with six colors.
Can I add images to my PDF?
Yes. Click Add Image to upload JPG or PNG images. You can drag them to any position and resize them using the width slider.
Does PDFGem upload my file?
No. All editing happens in your browser. Your PDF and any images you add never leave your device.
Can I edit multiple pages?
Yes. Navigate between pages and add visible text or JPG/PNG overlays. Saving writes every overlay from every page into a new PDF; existing PDF objects are not edited.
