PDFGem ("we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.

The short version

Most PDFGem tools process your files directly in your browser. Some advanced tools may use server-side processing — each tool page clearly indicates how your files are handled.

1. Data we collect

Files you process

For browser-based tools, files are processed locally and never transmitted to our servers. For tools that require server-side processing, files are uploaded securely, processed, and deleted immediately after — they are never stored or shared.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, session duration, device type). This data contains no personally identifiable information and no file content.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for theme preference (light/dark) and cookie consent status. If you accept analytics or advertising cookies, additional cookies may be set by third-party services.

2. Advertising

We may display ads via Google AdSense to support free access to all tools. Google may use cookies to serve relevant ads. You can opt out via Google Ad Settings.

3. Third-party services

  • Cloudflare — hosting and CDN (no access to your files)
  • Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics
  • Google AdSense — advertising
