How does PDFGem convert PDF to Excel?
PDFGem extracts text with position data from your PDF, detects table structures using column gap analysis, and rebuilds the data as a properly formatted Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx).
Is my data private?
Your PDF is uploaded to our server for processing. The file and generated spreadsheet are automatically deleted after 1 hour. We do not store or share your data.
Can it handle multi-page PDFs?
Yes. Each page in your PDF becomes a separate sheet in the Excel file. Tables on each page are independently detected and structured.
What is the maximum file size?
You can upload PDF files up to 50MB. Larger files may take longer to process.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
This tool extracts embedded text from PDFs. For scanned documents (image-only PDFs), use our OCR PDF tool first to make the text extractable, then convert to Excel.
